Live on the Beach Scheveningen

Live on the Beach is an anual multi-day series of concerts on the beach of Scheveningen.

The concerts Live on the Beach 2025 are on 3, 4, 5 and 6 September 2025 on the beach just a 15 minute walk from Hotel ´t Sonnehuys. Planning to drive home after a night of dancing? Don't! Stay in our comfortable hotel just a short walk from the concert. After some red, red wine it is very convenient to stay nearby. Reserve your room with us.

The legendary pop group UB40 featuring Ali Campbell starts the series of concerts on Wednesday 3 September. A day later on Thursday 4 September is an evening full of Dutch language folk singers with André Hazes & Vrienden during an evening themed 'Proosten op het Leven', meaning Cheers to Life. Friday 5 September the beach is partying with Goldband, Chef's Special en Prins S. en de Geit. The last concert of the series is on Saturday 6 September, with Grootste Strandfeest van Nederland, the Largest Beach Party of the Netherlands.

Scheveningen Light Walk

Scheveningen Light Walk is an annual walking event in Scheveningen, The Hague, that leads walkers past a series of spectaculair light objects. Most walkers also dress themselves with lights, so a chain of lights walks through Scheveningen. Scheveningen Light Walk 2025 has been planned for Saturday 22 November. The walking routes through Scheveningen and The Hague are 5KM, 10KM and 15KM. Are you going for a walk? Choose a comfortable hotel close to the start and finish, so that you can be in your warm, comfortable room soon after finishing. Book your room direct with us, before we are full.

The walking event Scheveningen Light Walk starts and finished at the iconic Pier of Scheveningen, within minutes walking distance from our hotel. From there, the routes generally go over the beach, through the dunes, via the forest and through neighbourhoods. In general, some routes pass by Hotel ´t Sonnehuys. Because of the time of the year at the end of November, the night will be dark and the chain of walkers with lights is a festive sight. Of course, the weather is generally wet and cold around this time of the year, so it is really nice to have a warm and comfortable hotel room close to the finish to go back to. New Year's Dive Scheveningen

Bars like 'Crazy Pianos' organise the best New Year's Party'sl. But don't overdo it, because the next day at 12:00 you will dive in to a 5C degrees sea.
